Come and meet the most surprising resident of the Swiss National Stud Farm: the white stork!
Every year, between mid-January and mid-March, more than 100 white storks return to their nests on the Agroscope Swiss National Stud Farm site after spending 6 months in the warmer southern countries. The faithful pairs usually nest in the same nests from one year to the next. The courtyard and the surroundings of the Swiss National Stud Farm resound with their characteristic clattering.
Your guide, nicknamed "Mr. Stork", knows the area like the back of his hand and will take you to meet this majestic wader!
S.K.'s opinion of the visit on 22 June 2025:
"This afternoon I took part, in the visit to the Life of the Storks at the National Stud.
It was just great!
Mr Cigogne is very passionate. Thank you to him for looking after these magnificent birds. The visit was incredible, I loved it. Time just flew by with your brilliant guide. Well done to him for the organisation. He thought of everyone (shade, drinks). There weren't many of us, so we were able to take full advantage of his information (video, photos, observation through binoculars, visits to the buildings).
Congratulations to all of you for giving us such a magical time!"
